The IMA MEDICON, hosted at the Subbaiah Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre in Shivamogga, is a prestigious annual conference organized by the Indian Medical Association - Karnataka State Branch. This event acts as a vibrant confluence of knowledge, innovation, and professional camaraderie, uniting the IMA fraternity from across the state under the theme of MEDICON 2026. The conference promises a dynamic scientific program, featuring insightful deliberations and meaningful interactions with eminent faculty and distinguished colleagues from the medical community.In addition to the enriching academic experience, delegates will have the opportunity to participate in free paper and poster presentations by postgraduate scholars. The event will include Continuing Medical Education (CME) accredited sessions, clinical updates, and expert panels aimed at enhancing the knowledge base and professional skills of attendees. The IMA Shivamogga branch takes pride in hosting MEDICON for the sixth time, continuing its legacy of excellence established during last year's grand Amrutha Mahothsava celebration. Participants will also have the chance to explore the scenic beauty of Shivamogga, which is known as the Gateway of Malnad, famous for its breathtaking views, including one of India’s highest plunge waterfalls. The area is ideal for trekking and offers panoramic sunset views. Moreover, visitors can enjoy the serene river flowing through the city, providing peaceful evening walks and scenic views, as well as visiting a government-run elephant camp to observe the care of these majestic animals.
