These facilities enable advanced research in structural dynamics, geotechnical earthquake engineering, seismic hazard assessment, and seismic instrumentation. The department has played a crucial role in developing India’s seismic design codes and guidelines and is committed to nurturing the next generation of earthquake engineers through rigorous postgraduate programs (M. and Ph.D.).
